Peanut Allergy Cured in Majority of Children in Immunotherapy Trial

Western societies have food allergen problems. Big ones. Now, there may be hope that a cure is within reach. Instead of avoiding peanuts, the children in this study were exposed to them and given a probiotic simultaneously. The immune system then learned to develop a tolerance. This desensitisation to peanuts persisted for up to four years after treatment.
