PayPal to Introduce Customers to Robo Investing

PayPal Holdings is making a move into robo-investing. The San Jose, Calif., payments company is connecting its website and smartphone apps with those of Acorns Grow Inc., a five-year-old automated savings and investment service, the two companies said Monday.

A year after leading a strategic investment into Acorns, PayPal announces a more formal product integration of Acorns into PayPal (and vice versa). Great acquisition channel for Acorns and interesting data play for PayPal. Makes me think that PayPal will continue to compete in the consumer wallet space, especially if they're encouraging consumers to link up PayPal accounts to round up transactions with Acorns.
