Watch a single cell become a complete organism in six pulsing minutes of timelapse

"Becoming" is a short film in which a single cell transforms into a newt. It's a remarkable and detailed science video that has caused wonder and amazement in the geekier corners of the internet this week. In this 6 minute video covering 3 weeks of time, we see the first cell divide, and then continue dividing and dividing until a fully formed living organism takes shape. It's breathtaking.

What blows me away is how technological it appears. It's so organized and structured, clearly following a programmed code of some sort. The most graphic depiction I've seen of DNA instructing a biological operating process.

I came across this in the MIND & MACHINE Facebook Group, which you should totally join for conversations around technology & futurism.
