Alzheimer’s™ may have been transmitted via injections, researchers say

Continuing the topic of Alzheimer's from last week, there are controversial new claims from some scientists saying that contracting a prion disease may be a contributing factor to Alzheimer's. The study researchers, led by John Collinge, a neurologist at University College London, suggest that injections in one of their studies also transmitted "seeds" for Alzheimer's. Other scientists are more skeptical. In any case, what is interesting is that doctors were able to find the early development of Alzheimer's in these patients between ages 36 and 51.
