Things I Think I Know about Blockchains, Public and Private

Written by Onename founder and fellow Blockstacker Ryan Shea in response to Fred Wilson's post asking if Bitcoin and the Blockchain are joined at the hip. If you don't trust other parties, then you want the public blockchain with the highest cost of attack, and that is Bitcoin. If you trust other parties, a private blockchain can work, but then you're giving up the only advance that blockchain gave us: trustless trust.
