Growth for Facebook is coming from the developing world, and so the social network launched a lightweight version of Instagram, aimed at cheap smartphones with limited bandwidth in emerging markets. 4.5bn people have a smartphone now, but data prices still have much further to fall.

The online game Roblox meanwhile went public in a direct listing, with a valuation of $41bn. Anyone with kids in lockdown will understand the valuation.

Snapchat is pushing to merge its AR tools with ecommerce, much like TikTok. It is all converging, folks!
