The latest on the never-ending road work

This week, paving operations began on the U.S. 98 westbound travel lanes, between Kel-Wen Circle and the Okaloosa/Walton County line.

In this photo, crews are placing the first lift of asphalt near Regatta Bay.

Most of the paving work will take place behind low-profile barrier wall on the north side of U.S. 98.

Driveways and side streets will be intermittently reduced to one lane when crews work at these locations. Traffic flaggers will be on-site to direct drivers through work zones.
