Will universities go bust if fees are cut?

Universities are warning of a financial crisis if a review recommends cutting the level of tuition fees.

Here's a chart that won't make fun reading on Fusehill Street, where the University of Cumbria is based. It's from a BBC News article looking into how universities will cope if they're forced by a review to cut their tuition fees.

This year, the university put a lot of effort into promoting itself to students during the Clearing/Adjustment period - so hopefully the number improves for the next academic year.
