Average Utility-Scale Solar Price In U.S. Falls To 5¢/kWh


According to a new report from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), solar energy prices are at an all-time low, with the average price of solar energy in the United States having dropped down to 5¢/kWh, representing a 70% decline in power purchase agreement (PPA) prices since 2009.

Couple this with Elon Musk's Powerwall and Tesla and you can see the future is just beginning to undergo a radical shift in how we power our world. Gasoline and traditional electric supplier companies must start to see the writing on the wall. Of course it's no surprise Elon Musk's SolarCity just announced a new record in efficiency
