Swift.org - Welcome to Swift.org

Swift finally went open source last week and it's safe to say that most of us were surprised by the release. Not only did they put the code on GitHub, but they also made the entire commit history public and the Swift team will be working completely in the open. Among many other things, we already know now that Swift 3.0 will drop the ++ and -- operators, C-style for-loops and it will not include any language support for concurrency. As if that would not be enough, they also announced a Swift implementation of Foundation (dropping the NS prefix and supporting Linux) and a Swift Package Manager.
