Cumbria defended after BBC study ranks area among worst places to live for those under 26

Cumbria didn't fare very well in a BBC Newsbeat analysis of where to live if you're under 26. The News and Star spoke to some people who disagree including an elected officer at the University of Cumbria Students' Union, Amy Kenworthy:

"While the results of the analysis are disappointing, the experience of young people living here is quite different."
"There is a growing vibrancy in Carlisle and the University of Cumbria, as a relatively young university, helps draw in thousands of students from all over the country and beyond every year, all of whom bring something different to the city."

My advice is to not treat it as a ranking of areas, but dive into the calculator which lets young people find out where they might like to live based on their preferences.
