"Beta-alanine is one of the few supplements to show a consistent ergogenic benefit in controlled research. New meta-analysis confirms this benefit of beta-alanine in exercise lasting from about 30 secs to 10 mins, but shows the overall effect is fairly modest. Bottom line: For lifting sessions that involve moderate to high reps, beta-alanine can enhance performance and thus potentially improve muscular adaptations, but don't expect eye-popping results."
