"Five bugs fixed in the latest iOS and OS X releases could allow maliciously crafted images to hijack a device only if a number of hurdles were crossed."
This week, Talos, a threat intelligence provider, released details about a vulnerability in ImageIO patched in iOS 9.3.3, which Apple released on Monday. Some have compared the vulnerability to the Android Stagefright vulnerability. Long story short, a proof-of-concept (PoC) doesn’t seem to be publicly available and it's been reported that exploiting the flaw is rather difficult. Nonetheless, iOS users should always make sure they're using the most recent version of iOS available to them.
