Annual Business Survey: Tables for Data Year 2017 | NSF - National Science Foundation

The detailed statistical tables in this report present data from the Annual Business Survey (ABS). The ABS is the primary source of data on research and development of for profit, non-farm businesses with one to nine employees operating in the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The ABS also collects data on innovation, technology, intellectual property, and business owner characteristics of business of all sizes. The survey is conducted annually by the Census Bureau for the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics within the National Science Foundation.
