In case you missed it, Bad Bunny just released his latest album this past weekend. It's already Spotify's biggest album debut of 2020. 👏The album is named YHLQMDLG, which stands for "Yo Hago Lo Que Me Da La Gana," Spanish for “I do whatever I want." He sat down with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night’s Tonight Show to announce the album's release and perform new album track “Ignorantes” with Panamanian artist Sech, and the Roots. Check out the Pitchfork article to watch the videos and performance on the Tonight Show. And here are some other articles on the new album if you're interested:
- PAPER Mag: During the performance, Bad Bunny wore a skirt and a shirt that read, in Spanish, “They killed Alexa, not a man in a skirt.” The statement was a response to the recent murder of Alexa Negrón Luciano, a trans woman in Puerto Rico whose violent death has sparked fresh outrage about the commonwealth’s homophobia. (Thanks to Sandy Batres for the submission).
