Designed by Brian LaRossa and Erica Carras, Staatliches is a new, clean cut display face with charmingly unconventional proportions. It was designed in response to Herbert Bayer’s title lettering on the cover of the first Bauhaus exhibition catalogue, published in 1923. Staatliches is available in a single style (capitals only) but with alternate widths, discretionary ligatures, numbers and symbols. Open source, free for personal and commercial use.
