Disney Kicks Off Streaming Future with ESPN+

At first glance, this seems like a really weird lineup of content: a seemingly random smattering of MLB and soccer games alongside some "mid major" sports. (And 30 for 30!) But strategically, this makes sense. ESPN literally can't afford to piss off the present, which is big cable. So this is all about a toe-dip -- until they not only can, but have to take the full dive... 

I also didn't realize that subscribing to ESPN+ means no more ads on ESPN.com itself. That alone may be worth the price of admission...
