First FDA Approval For Clinical Cloud-Based Deep Learning In Healthcare

The FDA approved the application of cloud-based deep learning services provided by the medical imaging provider Artery. The service is designed to help physicians understand how a heart is functioning through deep learning powered medical imaging.

This decision sets an important precedent for future applications of deep learning in the health care field and might serve as positive example to other government agencies across the globe, most notably, the EU who has already drafted a law to curtail deep learning innovations in many industry sectors.
