Researchers from IIT-Mumbai and Berkeley Initiative in Soft Computing assessed health effects and economic costs related to PM2.5 and PM10 in Delhi and Mumbai, and annual average mortalities (deaths) due to PM10 and PM2.5 were 25,006 and 10,880 in Mumbai and 32,109 and 10,900 in Delhi.
