Speaking of voice/Siri, here's Bryan Irace:
The decision to bundle SiriKit extensions as client-side components of standard iOS applications wasn’t a surprising decision – effectively all of Apple’s developer SDKs are client-side as opposed to server-side. But I can’t help feel that perpetuating this approach with Siri is needlessly making Apple’s voice assistant uphill battle even steeper.
The Siri fragmentation issue is a very real thing -- as I knew it would be two years ago. Which is bonkers given that it's Apple -- the seamless/"just works" company -- responsible. And it's getting worse!
Upon seeing/hearing the HomePod with regard to Siri, the reaction across the board seems to be: let's see what WWDC brings. Because as of right now, it needs to bring a lot.
