Happy Holidays! We got you something nice | Automatic Updates Phase 1 is Complete

Drupal is following in the footsteps of WordPress with a project to implement automatic updates. In late 2019 they announced an initial version of this project available as "contrib" module. The project has some challenges to face (the more modern developer tooling that Drupal leverages has historically been at odds with automatic update solutions) and I'm interested to see how they go down that path.
