Whatsapp may start sharing user data with Facebook

Android app developer Javier Santos discovered screenshots indicating that Whatsapp may soon be sharing user data with its parent company Facebook. No one is surprised. Facebook didn't pay billions for Whatsapp to run it as a non-profit charity. If they don't charge for the service, they need to monetize the service's users. If you want a chat service that's non-profit, check out Telegram or Signal.
