Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less - Greg McKeown (8/10)

"The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of the non-essentials."

There are far more activities and opportunities in the world than we have time and resources to invest in. Essentialism encourages us to ask the question - “Am I investing in the right activities?”

Essentialism is not about how to get more things done; it’s about how to get the right things done. It doesn’t mean just doing less for the sake of less. It is about making the wisest possible investment of your time and energy in order to operate at your highest point of contribution by doing only what is essential.

Much of this book appears to be common sense, but common sense isn't common practice and it provides a refreshing reminder of the importance of channeling your focus and energy on the right activities.
