Why VR180 is a Solution in Search of a Problem


VR filmmaker Nick Bicanic lets it rip: "Lemme just say that I think VR180 is a pretty dumb idea — but perhaps not for the reasons you might expect." Nick believes 180 is for *content* but 360 is for *context*. Makes sense, right? He also points out the potential pitfalls of VR180 such as spatial audio, specifically this little quandary: do we mix only forwards…or just stereo?
