Agree with this post from Fred Wilson. And have seen this play out first-hand. Entrepreneurs need to be careful with the “ease” of convertible notes. There are always trade-offs. And I think modeling out the “success state” (yes, I’ve used that term twice in two links) of your company from a fundraising perspective (who will own what, etc) as it grows is a good exercise to play out, if nothing else.
