Apple says it refused China’s request for its source code

There's been years of speculation around this, but Apple's head of legal spoke out under oath at a congressional hearing. Don't be surprised that it took this stage for Apple to comment on record, speaking up about rejecting the Chinese government's demands is not something you want to do unless forced -- particularly when you make billions from the country as China does. The important thing is that Apple's stance on user data is as robust in China as the US or anywhere else.
