Optimaker, 3D printing of glasses

A french company proposing a system for customizing glasses to the client's face using 3D printing. Opticians will probably need to undergo serious training, but it's one of the first concrete application of what everybody was expecting 3D printing to do, i.e. allow people to print and sell objects on the spot, without the need to go through expensive production processes. Quality remains to be seen, but this is probably closer to how glasses will be sold in the future than anything else out there.
