The Aperol Spritz Is Not a Good Drink

For me, a well-made spritz is an ideal opener to the night. The best ones are more nuanced than the Aperol spritz, but no more complicated. If your finished drink tastes like a children’s vitamin, it’s wrong, and it’s a hangover biding its time.
This article certainly seemed to strike a chord with the internet last week. But I simply must share again because I actually agree with this take. On a hot day in Europe, an Aperol Spritz is great -- but only in so far as any cold drink, preferably one with alcohol, is great. Give me a beer any day. 🍻
