This is a wonderful portrait of Ta-Nehisi Coates' book editor Chris Jackson. If anyone wonders what the role of a publisher in the age of self-publishing could be, Jackson is a prime example. 

‘‘I know that it’s my name on the book,’’ [Ta-Nehisi Coates] added, referring to ‘‘Between the World and Me.’’ ‘‘I wrote that book. But I could not have written that book alone. Somebody had to pull it out of me.’’
