The Economist is venturing in video production, launching a films initiative "combining their journalistic heritage with a commitment to making visually inspiring and carefully crafted video". Traditional media are continuing to escape their original formats, and you can see a convergence emerge around a mix made of texts, sounds, videos, events and services. What will be interesting is whether, just like many think the future of online retailers is to set foot in the real world, digital native media like buzzfeed will enter the real world.
