China sets rules for gamers to curb addiction

Officials blame video games for a rise in nearsightedness and poor academic performance. Now, youngsters will be limited to 90 minutes of games per weekday (three hours of weekend days and holidays) with a shut off between 10pm and 8am. Kids are reportedly already side-stepping potential action by playing offline games, and it remains to be seen how it will be enforced although you'd expect that -- based on past examples -- the government will push games companies.
