OCSO arrest a Lakeland K9 Unit Officer on a DUI charge who is here for a local competition


According to the Northwest Florida Daily News, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lakeland Police Department K9 unit officer for DUI on Saturday morning in Fort Walton Beach ahead of this week’s USPCA National Police Dog Trials hosted by the OCSO.

The NWFDN reports that officer Chad Landry, who was promoted to the K9 unit in December 2018, was pulled over at 5:22 a.m. in his Lakeland Police K9 Unit vehicle, a 2019 Chevy Tahoe, when OCSO officer James Burnham observed the vehicle conduct a u-turn "in front of oncoming traffic and at a high rate of speed" onto eastbound U.S. Highway 98, according to the arrest report.
