[Featured Project] Cow's Milk // Manuela Braunmüller

This is a photographic documentation that shows explains why cows can produce milk in the first place and how standard cow's milk production in industrialized countries works.

The online project connects the essential manufacturing steps to get to the final product: The taking and processing of bovine semen, which is being used for the artificial insemination of cows, the birth of the calf, the milking of the cows, the slaughtering and the processing of the milk at the dairy factory.

Manuela Braunmüller born 1993 in Rosenheim / Germany, studied Photography at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and in Cardiff at the University of South Wales. She is working as a freelance photographer in Munich.
