Why Companies Don’t Respond to Digital Disruption


Many executives don’t recognize the threat posed by failing to respond to digital disruption.

First step in resolving the gap is focusing on “why before how,” arguing that “[t]oo many managers want to learn ‘how’ in terms of detailed practices and behaviors and techniques, rather than ‘why’ in terms of philosophy and general guidance for action.”

This is the same I see, when companies want to find a system and see what others are doing in stead of finding out why they need a new system.
