Choose Who Manages Your Facebook Account When You Die

US Facebook users can now name a caretaker for their account in case of death (question: how does Facebook know you died?). The system is fairly well designed, as whoever you name won't have access to your private messages, but can pin a post on top of your wall. Facebook says it has hundreds of thousands of accounts belonging to defunct users. Oh, and ads will not be displayed on dead people's accounts. 21st century etiquette.
