Maker's Schedule, Manager's Schedule

I stumbled upon this 2009 Paul Graham post the other day. It certainly puts the finger on one important difference between makers and managers -- and why they might have such a hard time connecting. For many years I've been on a manager's schedule (and it won't change any time soon), but I sure long for the days when I had the time to just make something for hours without any disruptions; getting into a creative flow is so satisfying, but it rarely happens nowadays. Maybe when I retire. ;)
