The EdTech Report presents the results of a study conducted in the UK about the adoption and usage of edtech by teachers in their classrooms. It reveals current concerns for the sector, as despite a strong will to use edtech tools, poor funding and training prevents the access to them. One of the consequences of this gap includes teachers getting money out of their pocket to be able to include technology in their teaching. The main findings of the report state that:
- 4 in 5 teachers now use edtech in almost every lesson,
- 1 in 10 teachers have never heard of ‘edtech’,
- 66% of public school teachers feel edtech is underfunded (music, design & Tech and IT being the top subjects for which teachers are buying tech resources themselves).Read more...
