F2Pool Reneges: Bitcoin Pool Pulls Segwit2x Support Over Hard Fork

F2Pool, a large Bitcoin mining pool based in China, has withdrawn its support for the Segwit2x agreement, which proposed to implement the segwit upgrade and double Bitcoin's blocksize in 6 months. Miners use pools in order to guarantee a steady stream of income as opposed to a 1 in 1,000,000 chance of mining a Bitcoin block on their home computers. This helps pay many different people, but concentrates control of the Bitcoin network in the hands of a few pool operators.
