Supreme Court Rules for American Express in Swipe-Fee Antitrust Case

The Supreme Court backed American Express’s policy of preventing retailers from offering customers incentives to pay with cheaper cards, a major victory for the company that puts its business model on solid legal ground.

Big win for Amex + card schemes themselves, also interesting ramifications for other tech companies, with Supreme Case ruling that antitrust cases should take into account all relevant sides of a company’s business model. Amazon acts like a oligopoly, but since they're perceived as so consumer-first I believe it's really difficult to bring any sort of case against them.
