Research is showing that people who lose significant amounts of weight quickly can't keep it off long-term because their bodies adjust and burn fewer calories during the day. Personally as someone who lose 75lbs in their late teens/early twenties, slower is better combined with healthy eating and exercise. It's more about lifestyle change than going crazy for short periods of time.
