Creating Citizen Choice Architects

In this thought-provoking article, the authors propose the concept of self-nudging: empowering interventions that enable people to design and structure their own decision environments – that is, to act as citizen choice architects. This simple definition has many far reaching consequences in designing behavior change interventions where instead of a 3rd party choice architect creating explicit and invisible nudges to create behavior change, I can choose my own behavior change goals and create my decision-making environment accordingly.
