How to Stop Rescuing Other People as a Way to Feel Good About Yourself

I don't particularly have this problem, but I know a few people who do:

If you try to be everyone's hero to receive their approval and validation, this might help you change that pattern and be there for yourself.

It's been my experience that you can never really emotionally rescue anyone. They have to do that for themselves. You can help and support, but in the end, they have to want to save themselves.

Heck even God knew this that's why he helps those who help themselves, at least according to Algernon Sidney, anyway.
